My client runs a successful plumbing business.
Additional demand has resulted in him recruiting a number of self-employed plumbers, but this approach is not proving very successful.
An initial 2 hour consultation, highlighted two areas within the business that required urgent attention:
a lack of simple processes for the plumbers to follow the business owner’s lack of financial knowledge about his business.
Without improvements in these areas, the business would continue to struggle.
The financial information & processes required were defined during a half day workshop with key members of staff. The business owner, in conjunction with his accountant, is now implementing the collection and reporting cycle for the financial information.
A management system has been identified that will streamline the day-to-day administration of the business. The system has been implemented and is now an integral part of the business, saving the owner many hours of wasted time.
The business is now ready for the next step in the owner’s expansion plan.
